Exhibition of Orchids and Ornamental Plants Papua

On the occasion of FDS in 2010, the committee will Exhibitions papua orchids and ornamental plants, such as the appearance of biological diversity, and flora of Papua, Papua typical species, especially orchids, and orchids from crossing which has won several trophies to the level of southeast Asia as well as other ornamental plants.

In Papua there are approximately 2000 species of orchids, which live in the area began to shore up a high mountain slopes. Type and color of the orchid variety, so that the size, shape and color vary according to the habitats where it grows.

In the highlands of Papua, denrobium dwarf orchid is one of the most beautiful. Orchids are small - usually pollinated b y birds - it has bright colors. Its flower is big enough with shades of blue, red, yellow and purple. Other species that grows here is a mixture of orange-red flowers, dendrobium cuthbertsonii scarlet flowers.

Pada kesempatan FDS pada tahun 2010, panitia akan menampilkan keanekaragaman hayati  dan flora  khas Papua, terutama anggrek spesies khas Papua, dan anggrek hasil silangan yang telah memenangkan beberapa piala tingkat Asia Tenggara serta tanaman hias lainnya.
